Way back in 2004, working in NYC on a film project, I spent about six weeks with direct access to Tibor Kalman's personal collection of graphic design books, resources, keepsakes and paraphernalia. I was hooked. By that fall I'd decided to leave production to pursue more design-oriented work.
Since then I've worked mostly as a motion designer and animator, with particular interest in typography, editorial design, and period recreation, as well as data visualization and cartographic design. I've spent the past decade as a senior-level motion designer and 2D/3D animation generalist in Denver, Colorado.
Currently I'm working as Creative Director for Nifty Studio, predominantly on documentary film and show packages. We're always seeking new client partnerships.
